Situational Leadership II – Ken Blanchard
The world of work is changing, and so are the rules and the nature of leadership. In order to accomplish more with fewer resources, and in real time, organizations need strong, yet flexible leaders. They need leadership principles that are understood and practiced by every member of the organization. They need an individualized and flexible approach to developing leadership.
SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP II – SLII is the most comprehensive, up to date, and practical method of effectively managing and developing people, time and resources in the world. It is designed to increase the frequency and quality of conversations about performance and development between managers and people they work with so that competence is developed, commitment is gained, and talented individuals are retained.
Participants during the workshop, focus on their key goals and strategic organizational goals. They practice with real situations. They are continually asked to reflect on real examples of the key learning points. Frequent stand-up meetings with learning partners allow them to share how they will use what they are learning with their own team and people they lead.
SLII is recognized as both a business language and a framework for developing people. It is a model that works across cultural, language and geographical barriers by teaching leaders to diagnose the need of an individual or a team at any particular point in time and to use the leadership style that matches or responds to the needs of the situation.
